Over the past number of years, the Pranic Healing community has come together with one shared intention — to bring hope, healing, and practical support to some of the most vulnerable children and families in Kolkata, India.
Since 2018, Pranic Healing for HOPE has proudly raised an incredible €328,811 in support of The Hope Foundation and its life-changing work on the ground in Kolkata.
A major part of these funds — €181,167 — has supported one of HOPE’s residential childcare centres for girls. These centres provide a safe and nurturing home for children aged 6 to 18 who have been identified by the Child Welfare Committee as being in need of care and protection. Beyond shelter, these homes offer education, emotional support, stability, and the opportunity for each child to rebuild her life with dignity and care.
Our community has also contributed €54,536 toward HOPE’s Night Round Mobile Medical Unit, an essential frontline service that operates throughout vulnerable areas of Kolkata. Three nights each week, the medical team reaches destitute women and children living in crisis, providing urgent medical care, support, and compassion to those who would otherwise have little or no access to help.
In addition, Pranic Healing for HOPE has proudly sponsored the education of 25 children through HOPE’s Educational Sponsorship Programme, contributing a total of €31,573. Through this programme, children are supported from pre-school right through to third-level education. Sponsorship helps cover school fees, uniforms, books, and additional educational support where needed — creating opportunities that can truly change the course of a child’s future.
The success of Pranic Healing for HOPE reflects the power of collective goodwill and compassionate action. Through fundraising events, healing sessions, auctions, raffles, COVID relief initiatives, and the ongoing generosity of our supporters, we continue to extend hope to children and families who need it most.
We would also like to acknowledge the incredible support of the international Pranic Healing community, especially Love for Humanity, a donor group based in the United States. Over the past two years, they have raised an outstanding $37,000 in support of HOPE’s residential childcare centre for girls. Their kindness and commitment have made a deeply meaningful impact.
Together, this support has created lasting change in the lives of vulnerable children and communities in Kolkata, and we are profoundly grateful to everyone who has contributed in any way to this journey.
